Platform Architect
Analytica has been recognized by Inc. Magazine as the fastest-growing private US small business. We work with U.S. government customers in health, civilian, and national security missions. As a core member you’ll work with a diverse team of professionals to solve matters, architect nuisances, and come up with alternatives. We offer competitive compensation with opportunities for bonuses, employer paid health care, training and development funds, and 401k match.
Key Responsibilities
- Define target and transition architectures for development, test, staging, and production environments.
- Design modular boundaries among ingestion, centralized data storage, analytic signals, open-source LLM services, APIs, and the end-user application.
- Align architecture with OMB preferences for Linux, PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server, Java or .NET, Kubernetes/Rancher, Jenkins, and self-hosted Azure DevOps.
- Ensure the AI model remains replaceable without rebuilding the durable data infrastructure or ingestion logic.
- Incorporate scalability, observability, resilience, records management, accessibility, security, and Government ownership requirements.
- Produce architecture diagrams, decisions, standards, interface guidance, and transition documentation.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise solution, platform, software, data, or systems architecture, preferably supporting complex Federal or other highly regulated environments.
- Demonstrated experience designing end-to-end enterprise platforms spanning applications, APIs, data, infrastructure, integration, security, and DevSecOps.
- Strong experience architecting on-premises and/or hybrid environments, including containerized applications and distributed services.
- Hands-on architectural knowledge of:
- Linux
- PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server
- Java and/or .NET

- Demonstrated experience designing modular, loosely coupled architectures with well-defined service and data interfaces.
- Experience architecting data platforms, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, APIs, analytics, and downstream data consumption.
- Experience with AI/ML or LLM-enabled architectures, including integration of open-source models, model-serving approaches, or AI services into enterprise applications.
- Understanding of database architecture, including schema design, indexing, performance, availability, backup/recovery, and data lifecycle considerations.
- Experience designing secure APIs and integrations, including authentication, authorization, encryption, API versioning, and service-to-service communication.
- Experience designing for scalability, high availability, resilience, observability, and disaster recovery.
- Strong understanding of application and infrastructure security within Federal or regulated environments.
- Ability to evaluate competing technologies and make architecture decisions based on security, scalability, maintainability, interoperability, performance, cost, and mission requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality architecture documentation and communicate technical decisions to both engineering teams and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile/iterative delivery environment, balancing long-term architecture with incremental implementation.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret eligibility, as required for contractor personnel supporting the effort. Active Top Secret clearance highly preferred

- Experience with Federal data and application modernization initiatives involving legacy-system integration and incremental migration to modern architectures.
- Experience implementing or architecting open-source AI/LLM platforms in secure or disconnected/on-premises environments.
- Experience with model-serving technologies, AI gateways, vector databases, RAG architectures, or other enterprise AI integration patterns.
- Familiarity with FedRAMP-authorized environments, FISMA Moderate, NIST SP 800-53, and Federal security authorization processes.
