Senior Data Scientist

Remote - Full Time

Analytica is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to remotely support a high-profile financial regulatory client with analytical expertise across all stages of the data science lifecycle. Serve as a technical lead in broadening our clients analytics as a service offerings to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:
  • Serve as primary technical point of contact for user communities, stakeholders, and project staff related to analytic services
  • Support the project manager in executing the quality management program, e.g.peer reviews, issue escalation, quality assurance, validation and verification of migrations, etc.
  • Coordinate and maintain user stories.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for vendors of off-the-shelf analytic applications, as well as represent the open source analytics community (Python/Spark, R, etc.) and their associated notebook/integrated development environment capabilities
  • Develop and deliver internal analytics required to support cost estimation and forecasts, performance metrics, data management scripts, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytics discipline or related field; masters preferred
  • 8+ years of practice in statistical analysis
  • Experience with development of predictive analytics models and scripting languages such as Python and R
  • Knowledge of and experience with public cloud providers Amazon Web Services architecture, tools and cloud methodologies (e.g., AWS Redshift)
  • Experience with performing analytics from a cloud platform
  • Experience with databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile, Scrum and DevOps principles and practices
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public trust security clearance for the supported agencies
