Senior Solutions Architect

Analytica is seeking a highly experienced Senior Solutions Architect to provide strategic technical leadership and subject matter expertise for a government agency's AI, data analytics, and IT infrastructure initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in enterprise architecture, agile development practices, and government technology standards, with a focus on building scalable, sustainable solutions that reduce operational overhead while supporting agency-wide digital transformation.

Responsibilities:

Agile Development Leadership & Process Optimization: 

  • Serve as subject matter expert on agile software development methodologies, providing strategic guidance on sprint durations, release frequencies, and delivery cadences for government projects 
  • Develop comprehensive documentation and recommendations on agile best practices, including code development, integration, testing, quality assurance, and configuration control processes 
  • Guide project teams through agile planning and execution phases, ensuring alignment with government standards and compliance requirements 

Enterprise Architecture & Infrastructure Design: 

  • Provide senior technical expertise and architectural recommendations aligned with IT and AI engineering standards and best practices 
  • Lead the design and establishment of scalable computer infrastructure supporting program projects with potential for agency-wide implementation 
  • Develop architectural blueprints that balance performance, security, compliance, and cost-effectiveness while reducing operational overhead 

Strategic Planning & Implementation Oversight: 

  • Track and evaluate government customer's implementation progress, management practices, and lifecycle planning to ensure strategic alignment 
  • Identify and recommend potential stakeholders including engineers, commercial vendors, governmental partners, and academic institutions to strengthen DoD data analytics and AI capabilities 
  • Facilitate collaboration between diverse stakeholders to build sustainable, scalable IT infrastructure and software solutions 

Risk Assessment & Migration Strategy: 

  • Conduct comprehensive engineering analysis to identify operational risks associated with migration strategies and technology transitions 
  • Evaluate hardware/software configurations and architecture impacts on system performance and security 
  • Assess environmental infrastructure considerations including terrestrial data center vs. cloud deployment options 
  • Analyze information access and control requirements to ensure compliance with government security standards 

Advanced Technology Integration: 

  • Perform domain-to-capability mapping analysis to identify and implement state-of-the-art tools for optimal outcomes 
  • Evaluate emerging technologies including AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics platforms for government applications 
  • Develop technology roadmaps that align with agency strategic objectives and budget constraints 

Policy & Organizational Change Management: 

  • Provide subject matter expertise on reducing policy, process, and organizational barriers to agency-wide data, analytics, and AI adoption 
  • Develop change management strategies that address cultural, technical, and procedural challenges 
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify and mitigate adoption barriers while promoting best practices 

Strategic Communication & Stakeholder Management: 

  • Support strategic planning initiatives through clear communication and messaging regarding project scope, capabilities, and limitations 
  • Develop executive-level presentations and technical documentation that accurately convey project expectations and outcomes 
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops to ensure alignment between technical capabilities and business objectives 
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture and solutions design, with at least 5 years in government or defense sector 
  • Strong expertise in agile development methodologies with relevant certifications (Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.) 
  • Deep understanding of government IT standards, compliance requirements, and security frameworks 
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms, data analytics, and AI/ML technologies 
  • Current security clearance or ability to obtain required clearance level 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Advanced degree in relevant technical field 
  • Experience with DoD or federal agency digital transformation initiatives 
  • Certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, FEAF, etc.) 
  • Knowledge of government acquisition processes and contracting requirements 
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and automated deployment pipelines
