Analytica is seeking a Senior AI-ML Engineer (Azure) with deep Microsoft Azure ecosystem experience combining a blend of high-level architectural design skills, deep proficiency in Azure’s specialized AI toolset, and a mastery of the end-to-end Machine Learning Lifecycle (MLOps).  This lead role will be supporting long term federal client engagements in in the DC Metro area.

This will be hybrid with 2 days in the office per week. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Lead a small cross-functional AI-ML and Data Engineering team for delivery and participate in Agile ceremonies, including planning, reviews, and retrospectives. 

  • Translate mission objectives into actionable technical plans aligned with federal standards and modernization goals  

  • Feature Engineering and Attribute Evaluation - Candidate must demonstrate experience with identifying the key determinants for modeling that exist in the business process and within existing data sets as well as selecting evaluation protocols (model techniques).  

  • Pre-processing - Demonstrate the skills and experience to collect, clean, and prepare data sets for input into a computational model using Python and SQL. Strong candidates will explain various methods you have applied using common pre-processing functions. 

  • Modeling - Candidates will have practiced skills and experience selecting modeling techniques to fit the business problem. Examples will include techniques such as machine learning (ML) supervised and unsupervised learning, regression, neural networks and deep learning, natural language processing, etc.  

  • Validation - Strong candidates will describe their experience with investigating, reporting, and justifying model results.  

  • Visualization- Experience in presenting the results of their modeling activities, depicting the insights realized, and explaining the relevance of their results to the organization’s business challenges. 

  • Implement Azure cloud-native engineering, AI/ML workflows, analytics platform reliability, and governance compliance. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics or similar sciences. Master's or PhD a strong plus preferred in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or familiar 

  • 8+ years of experience developing scalable, production-ready AI/ML  solutions

  • Must be Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate and/or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect

  • Strong problem-solving skills, leverage domain knowledge, information technology, and Ai-ML techniques 

  • Programming & Frameworks: Advanced proficiency in Python (specifically for PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Scikit-learn). Experience with orchestration frameworks like LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen 

  • Deep demonstrated enterprise hands-on experience with: 

    • Azure AI Foundry (formerly Azure AI Studio): Managing the unified platform for building, testing, and deploying AI models. 

    • Azure OpenAI Service: Implementing LLMs (GPT-4o, etc.) with custom fine-tuning or prompt engineering.    

    • Azure AI Search: Designing vector databases and hybrid search for RAG-based systems.    

    • Azure AI Speech, Vision, and Language: Integrating pre-built cognitive services into enterprise applications. 

  • Azure Machine Learning (Azure ML): Designing and managing automated ML pipelines, environment configurations, and compute clusters. 

  • Demonstrated expertise in data, analytics, or AI/ML workflows in regulated or mission-driven environments. 

  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-team collaboration capabilities. 

  • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
