Military Health Economist
Analytica is seeking a Health Economist / Statistician to support one or more dynamic, long-term federal government enterprise data programs for the Defense Health Agency.
his individual will analyze large healthcare datasets, develop models for cost-effectiveness and health outcomes, and contribute to data-driven policy and clinical decision- making across federal healthcare initiatives. The position will be onsite at Falls Church, VA or San Antonio, TX, with remote work options as approved.

Responsibilities:
Design and implement statistical and economic models to evaluate healthcare interventions, costs, and outcomes.
Conduct cost-effectiveness, cost-benefit, and budget impact analyses using healthcare utilization and claims data.
Analyze large datasets from electronic health records (EHRs), claims, surveys, and other sources to identify trends and outcomes.
Develop data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with epidemiologists, data scientists, clinicians, and policy analysts to inform program strategies.
Ensure analytical methodologies adhere to federal standards and best practices in health economics and biostatistics.
Prepare manuscripts, briefing materials, and white papers for internal and external dissemination.
Support continuous improvement of data collection, management, and analysis processes.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in health economics, Biostatistics, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related quantitative field.
5+ years of experience conducting health economic and/or statistical analyses in a public health or healthcare setting.
Proficiency in statistical software such as R, SAS, Stata, or Python.
Experience working with healthcare datasets, including claims, EHR, or survey data.
Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights.
Knowledge of healthcare financing, delivery systems, and outcomes measurement.
Experience working with federal healthcare programs (e.g., VA, DHA, DoD)
Familiarity with decision-analytic modeling and simulation techniques.
U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance or higher
