Analytica is seeking a Business Analyst – Data & Analytics to support a federal Azure-based data and analytics program. This role focuses on translating mission, operational, and policy needs into clear business, functional, and data requirements that support cloud data platforms, analytics, dashboards, and AI-enabled use cases in regulated environments. The Business Analyst will work closely with government stakeholders, product owners, data engineers, analysts, and project leadership to ensure requirements are well-defined, traceable, and aligned with program goals, delivery timelines, and compliance expectations.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and data requirements for Azure-based data platforms, analytics, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
Partner with government stakeholders to understand mission workflows, pain points, and data needs, translating them into user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items.
Support Agile delivery by collaborating with Product Owners and Scrum teams during backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Develop and maintain business analysis artifacts such as process maps, data flows, use cases, requirements traceability matrices, and solution documentation.
Work closely with data engineers and analytics teams to clarify data definitions, validate requirements, and ensure business needs are accurately reflected in technical solutions.
Support testing activities, including functional testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure delivered solutions meet defined requirements.
Assist in defining success metrics, KPIs, and reporting requirements to measure program outcomes and value.
Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused language.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
4–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role supporting technology, data, or analytics projects.
Experience eliciting and documenting requirements using Agile methodologies (user stories, acceptance criteria).
