Analytica is seeking a Solution Architect with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and build complex cloud-based web application solutions based upon Java and/or Python. The ideal candidate will be comfortable collaborating with federal law enforcement clients to architect and develop secure, containerized CI/CD cloud solutions.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to): 

  • Architect, develop and maintain a mission critical government software platform that supports law enforcement and homeland security functions using Java - Springboot or Python and web applications using HMTL5, CSS3 and JavaScript.  

  • Collaborate with leadership, stakeholders, and system teams in the evaluation, assessment, future state recommendation, and implementation of transformational application architectures and software development practices. 

  • Develop and implement application modernization and transformation approach for legacy system  

  • Serve as the central point of contact for AWS cloud application development and refactoring, DevSecOps, CI/CD for infrastructure, software, and data pipelines. 

  • Understand the client engagement critically towards well-defined purpose and achievement standards Possess technical commitment and assist in ensuring a suitable and successful delivery of cloud service 

  • Document and provide best practices Use technology to find a solution for business problems Design, develop, and maintain system processes and procedures Implement modern engineering, DevOps and CI/CD programs, best practices, and disciplines for client including onboarding system teams  

  • Executing technical feasibility assessments, solution estimations and proposal development for moving identified workloads to the AWS Platform Developing technical and security specifications for the targeted applications/workloads in AWS Develop and implement new cloud-native applications and solutions on AWS.  

  • Document application specifications for AWS potential refactoring that may be required for AWS functionality Developing and present application transformation and modernization roadmap plans Support cloud application development and delivery effort 

 Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Engineering or related field. 

  • Security Clearance Requirement: Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmentalized Information 

  • Be a U.S. Citizen 

  • Meet High Risk, Law Enforcement Sensitive background and have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance. 

  • 8+ years of professional experience developing and testing large scale, enterprise software.  

  • 6+ years of experience developing production applications using at least one of the following server-side computer languages: Python or Java – SpringBoot 

  • 5+ years of web-development experience including experience writing web applications using HMTL5, CSS3 and JavaScript. 

  • 4+ years of experience conducting analysis and design for medium to large enterprise systems 

  • 4+ years deploying and maintaining AWS Cloud infrastructure in a medium to large enterprise   

  • 2+ years of experience developing applications leveraging big data technologies such as Elastic Search, Cassandra and Janus Graph 

  • 2+ years of experience developing enterprise level production tools with ReactJS 

  • 2+ years of experience leveraging CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, SonarCube  

  • 2+ years of experience implementing DevOps tools such as Terraform 

  • 2+ years of experience configuring, tuning and maintaining enterprise container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.  

  • Possess the ability to demonstrate current and at least advanced skills in front-end, middle-tier, and back-end development 

  • Experience in refactoring and redesigning monolithic data center hosted applications in the cloud, data lake technology, and developing data architectures for a system of systems. 

  • Experience developing in Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud at the Law Enforcement Sensitive (LES) or DOD level strongly preferred 

  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of concepts, methodologies and best practices – especially as they pertain to mitigating development risks, estimating tasks, coding standards and source control procedures. 

  • Have the ability to work embedded with a law enforcement team and client, and have the ability to operate as a member of a team in an often high stress high tempo office environment.
