Analytica is seeking a remote Solutions Architect to lead and manage a high profile team with leading the architecture and implementation of data science/ machine learning efforts.
As a core member you’ll work with a diverse team of professionals to solution matters, detect nuisances, and come up with alternatives.

Responsibilities include (But Are Not Necessarily Limited To):
  • Lead architectural design and technical planning, including roadmap development and implementation of modern techniques and technologies such as Cloud (AWS), Software Defined Networking (SDN), AIOps, AI/ML, Elasticsearch, and Kafka
  • Lead the development and enhancement of a shared enterprise data environment that meets a diverse set of Analytics, Reporting, and Data Science federal requirements
  • Develop and maintain complex solution architectures and design documentation, ensure alignment with strategic objectives and program goals, integrate new technologies into architectures, and evaluate tools for high-quality delivery
  • Maintain a forward-looking perspective on industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Support innovation planning, analytical research, architecture, and design development across the innovations portfolio, and analyze government customer requirements to develop system requirements specifications
  • Perform data gathering, requirements definition and analysis, use case development, gap analysis, dependency analysis and management, develop functional and design specifications, and provide measurable input to new solutions, processes, or standards to achieve functional/project objectives
  • Engage with clients and use a variety of information gathering techniques (e.g., interviews, facilitation, diagrams) to gather complex business data requirements from Business teams
  • Analyze requirements in relation to available data, assesses source system data quality, and analyze schemas to meet performance requirements
  • Design and maintain a master data management strategy that accounts for all aspects of data management including data ownership, security, and data administration
  • Oversee data base administration and engineering to align to a data-as a service approach
  • Ensure high quality data deliverable artifacts are provided, which may include documentation to include formal process mapping, glossaries, data dictionary, functional and non-functional requirement specifications, technical design, key performance indicators, system testing and implementation activities
  • Support the proposal response process, from participating in solutioning to proposal writing, code challenges, reviewing and development as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience developing enterprise data warehouse / lake solutions
  • 5  years experience and understanding of and experience with SDLC methodology and Agile project management, and working with the Federal Government.
  •  Experience leading strategy development, architecture creation, design, development, and delivery of data driven capabilities, within the IRS environment
  • Experience with data architectures and pipelines for structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data across various data repositories and data lakes.
  • Possesses broad knowledge across the entire analytics lifecycle, particularly around data engineering, databases, governance and end-user workflows (e.g. analytics and data science), including advanced knowledge of products and services that are fueling data driven decision making and how they can be leveraged to support cross-functional workflows
  • Experience with front-end technologies, UI/UX design, and Agile DevSecOps tools, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, cloud computing, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum ceremonies and experience with Agile work management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data science/ machine learning concepts and experience working with data scientists in the design and implementation machine learning applications.
  • AWS Certification preferred
  • Must be a US citizen
